Technical Customer Support Engineer for Western Europe (Finland)

Okmetic is the world’s seventh-largest silicon wafer manufacturer and a true pioneer in the production of high-performance silicon wafers. We are looking for a Technical Customer Support Engineer for our customers in Western Europe and UK. You will join an international team of technical and commercial experts in Finland. Your main responsibility in customer support team is to promote new business together with our sales, support in product-related technical topics, and deepen our customer relationships with key customers. 

As Technical Customer Support Engineer, you will work with international automotive, semiconductor, medical and industrial customers located mainly in Germany and UK regions. You will provide occasional pre-sales support and customer events support. Remote tools, connections, and our R&D and manufacturing experts are at your disposal. This position provides insight into new emerging technologies for global electronics and automotive products years before publishing. If you are passionate about complex technical problems and want to provide a great customer experience, you might be the right person for our team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Okmetic sales in product-related technical topics and in increasing sales according to company strategy and sales targets
  • Solving customers’ technical problems related to Okmetic products and their applications
  • Discussing the solutions with customers and supporting them in the problem-solving efforts
  • Deepening customer relationships and forming a link between customer organizations
  • Reviewing new customer product specifications
  • Identifying new product potentials and communicating them to Okmetic R&D
  • Supporting communications and marketing teams in product marketing material creation 

What are our expectations?
You have a Technical Master's degree e.g. in electrical or materials engineering, physics or chemistry. Fluent written or spoken German is an advantage. We hope that you are active, independent, and possess a result-oriented working attitude. Having experience in the field of semiconductors, MEMS, industrial environment, and customer interface is an advantage.

About us
Okmetic’s silicon wafers are unique because each batch is tailored to the customer’s product, process, and technology needs, and manufactured in volume production.
